Tasting notes

Golden in colour, crowned with a full white head from the wheat added with wonderful orange peel and citrus aromas and flavours. Full of flavour; with all the chilled refreshment of a lager.

What’s the story?

Chilled and filtered to retain all the freshness, flavour and aromas of unpasteurised beer. Spindrift is a golden beer, crowned with a full white head from the wheat added to the brew with wonderful orange peel and citrus aromas and flavours.

Using our craft, skill and brewing expertise we have created a superb modern English speciality beer. With its bright, crisp, refreshing taste and continental-style smooth white head, Spindrift appeals to a wider audience of discerning drinkers and indeed to retailers who wouldn’t normally stock cask beer.

Want to know more?

Spindrift provides an alternative for lager drinkers who desire the speciality flavours of beer but prefer their beer slightly more carbonated and chilled. Taking its name from the spray off the breaking tops of waves, Spindrift’s full flavour and refreshment captures the essence of Beer From The Coast.

A perfect accompaniment to both traditional and spicy cuisines. Spindrift is gently carbonated and dispensed through a bespoke chilled font at a very refreshing 5oC.

Just sorting out the details now, won’t be bottle conditioned but should be unpasteurised

    Hello Adnams…

Spindrift in bottles in 2010? Brilliant! Will it bottle conditioned and unpasteurised?

Spindrift was my favourite tipple for at least 2 years in The Grapes, Narrow Street, Limehouse London E14 until they stopped serving it… which was a very sad day.

It was too expensive to sell in sufficient volume and apparently I was the only one drinking it… although it always went down very well with my friends all over the UK and further afield including Greece, Switzerland and India. It is indeed a very special beer… as refreshing as any lager but packed full of flavour and nowhere near as gassy. Presumably, because it was crafted from the finest ingredients, I never experienced any hangovers even after 5 or so pints (on rare but most enjoyable evenings).

So I’m delighted to hear that this fine beer will be available in bottles.

Please let me know when it will be available and I’ll place an order straight away… and I’ll also ask Barbara at the Grapes to order bottles for my discerning beer-drinking pals.

    All the very best!

    Chris Tilley
